Your Mama apologizes

I'm sorry for the lack of photos. The end of summer means an end of street festivals and other outdoor events where it is easiest to find people. Plus Your Mama has taken a second job and usually works 7 days per week these days.

But I will try to continue to find beautiful people to share!

Your Mama goes to Never On Sunday 9.21.07

On a late night trip to Never On Sunday, I spotted this up-did man. I'm not sure if this would be called a mohawk, a fauxhawk or just spiked up, but I like it whatever it is!

The ocean either makes your hair awesome or awful. In Tim's case, it was clearly awesome!

Your Mama goes to Austin 9.1.07

Sorry this is so delayed. Your Mama has been a busy lady this month. Travelling to Texas and such!

This modish gentleman was working at Uncommon Objects in Austin, TX. I think his hair is sort of Bawlmery, too!

Your Mama goes to Brooklyn 8.13.07

I had the extreme pleasure of seeing my favorite band, Ted Leo and the Pharmacists in Brooklyn. I realize I called this a Baltimore hair blog, but too bad it's my blog and I tend to travel.

Anyway, New York tends to intimidate me, as there are so many fabulous people there. I was most drawn to the redheads though. Enjoy!

sporting the ever-trendy YMH business card

Dave of Ted Leo & the Pharmacists may not have red hair, but it is truly amazing and I will miss seeing it (and hearing him) in future shows. This post is dedicated to Dave!

Your Mama goes to Arundel Mills 8.6.07

This fancily fuzzy headed man was walking in front of the movie theater. His hair looked like it was laced with gold!

This stunning autumn-leaf haired woman is named Lady Vile and she has her own artsy site here!

Your Mama gets a submission!

Kyle from my trip to Safeway sent me this photo of himself with his 'hawk all liberty-spiked up. Pretty awesome, doncha think!

Your Mama goes to Safeway 7.31.07

I found this funky gentleman in the drink aisle of the grocery store. Actually, I saw him looking at meats, but I had to follow him to the drinks (sorry!). He claims his 'hawk is cooler when spiked up, but I thought it looked pretty righteous as it was.

This radiant woman was red from head to toe at the German Festival in Timonium this past weekend!

Your Mama goes to Silver Spring 7.28.07

Unfortunately, my poor camera skills (and trees in the background) do not do justice to this woman's gorgeous 'do. I spied her outside the SS Metro Station.

If your photograph apprears here...

Thanks!

I will never post someone's photo without permission (with the exception of a band/celebrity). I think it's rude. If you decide you hate your photo, I will remove it from the site, no questions asked. Or, if your hate your expression but love your hair, I will black out your face if you'd like!

If you would like a higher resolution copy of your photo, you may email me. You must provide some sort of proof that it's actually you (so I don't send your picture out to your stalker), such as where I took your picture, what time of day, what I was wearing, etc.

I will probably forget your name. It's nothing personal, I'm just flaky. If you'd like me to write your name below your photo, email me and I'll be happy to!

If you have a website, blog, online store, or whatever, I'd love to link you (as long as it's not a puppy killing website or something) as a way of saying thanks for letting me share your beauty. Just send it along and I'll put it on the sidebar.

Again, thanks for letting me take your picture! And thanks for having great hair!

So there should be some substance?

I guess before I start asking strangers if I can put their picture on the internet, I should actually have something for them to see?

Here's Vlad, 2005. I did this.

Deirdre and Nerd, Artscape, 2004, adorable.

Heather in a cornfield with her fancy hair, 2007.
One fateful night at the Ottobar, Heather and I saw some aliens who studied American cinema circa 1985 (or perhaps they were merely time travelers) who were the spitting image of 80s rockers. I wanted to take a picture of them, but had no discernable reason. "I should make a hair blog." This blog would give me an excuse to take pictures of strangers with interesting hair.

Voila!
